Coach McKissic Sr. comes from humble beginnings. Born in Opelika but raised in Columbus, GA he has had a wide variety of experiences in is athletic career. He is a 2006 graduate of Southwestern College (Winfield, KS) where he lettered in football and basketball.

McKissic started his coaching career in 2006. Identical to his personal life he has become a jack of all trades. Coaching everything from cross country, football, basketball, tennis to track. He even had a stint as conditioning coach with a cheer leading squad. His greatest success came in cross country and basketball hence the name "Rev. Run & Shoot"

McKissic was the 2016 & 2017 region basketball coach of the year while coaching at Sandy Creek High School. He also led his teams to a region champion ship and Elite 8 appearance in 2016. He followed up that run with a Final 4 appearance in 2017 only falling short to St. Pius X. McKissic has branded himself as a coach who can assist players get to the next level. Over his career he has assisted over 200 players gain athletic scholarships across all sports. Not only does the majority of his athletes go to college for free but they also graduate from college.
